Pastor Glenn Shelton 

Glenn and his wife, Rachele, have been married 32 years. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

 

Glenn worked as a public school educator and accepted a call into bi-vocational ministry at the age of 18. He has served as interim pastor, youth minister, college and career minister as well as serving in several other positions in churches. He was pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Troy, North Carolina. He also served as the Vice Moderator in the Stanly-Montgomery Baptist Association working to restructure the organization and helping to find the current Associational Mission Strategist.

Glenn earned his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Seminary in 2022 and has started his doctoral degree this year in Church Revitalization and Growth at Southeastern Baptist Seminary.

 

With a servant’s heart, Glenn desires to minister to people inside and outside of the church. He tries to live out the Great Commission in his daily life.

 

Rachele worked as a Spanish teacher in the public schools. She has served in various positions within the church as well as volunteering at a local crisis pregnancy center and teaching Bible studies to women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.  She has a heart for women and prayer ministries.

 

Oldest daughter, Malia and husband Colby, live in eastern North Carolina and have 3 children. Their middle child, Hannah and husband Matthew, live in the Charlotte region and have 2 children  Their youngest child Micah and wife, Rheanna, currently live in Marshville, NC, where  our family lived for over 20 years.

 

Glenn and Rachele enjoy spending time with their family and traveling throughout the United States. They would also enjoy meeting and becoming friends with you.
